- $286 million for 21 VLocity trains for the Geelong line
- $115 million to establish new stabling and maintenance yards at Waurn Ponds for V/Line trains
- $70 million to complete Stage Four of the Simonds Stadium redevelopment which includes development of a ‘Sunrise Centre’ to provide rehabilitation and assistance for people with a disability to return to work
- $30 million for Stage Two upgrade of Geelong Performing Arts Centre
- $13.5 million for the Portarlington Safe Harbour project
- $12 million to keep Jetstar operating at Avalon
- $10 million to rebuild Geelong High School
- $8.3 million to continue the Barwon Trial of the National Disability Insurance Scheme
- $7.5 million extra for the Geelong Region Innovation and Investment Fund
- $3 million for a Geelong Manufacturing Hub at Deakin University
Geelong is also poised to benefit from the announcement of a $500 million Regional Jobs and Infrastructure Fund which includes a $200 million Regional Jobs Fund and a $200 million Future Industries Fund offering grants of up to $1 million for companies operating in six key industry sectors targeted for extraordinary growth.
